My experience with design began out of necessity. As a young DIY musician who needed t-shirts, album art, and fliers with no budget, I taught myself basic graphic design using programs like Gimp and Photoshop. 

When I began my role as a social media and content manager for an e-commerce store, I frequently needed quick graphic designs with short notice, so I started creating what I needed. Eventually, I started doing light content design as needed for the rest of the company, creating graphics for meta ads, web design, organic social media, blogs, and email marketing.
